What is the Spark Cut Patch
The Spark Cut patch is a community patch by
franzcars. It adds a stationary spark-cut rev limiter (a 2-step), so the turbo is already spooling when you launch instead of waiting to spool after you go. It also gives 5MT cars the option of a spark-cut rev limiter in place of the factory fuel cut. Full credit to franzcars — the original thread is

How it works
The patch uses the current fuel-cut RPM to enact an additional spark-cut rev limiter, as either a primary or secondary limiter. The stationary limiter is like the GSR's, but it doesn't look for the clutch switch — once RPM hits the threshold the coils stop charging (no spark) until RPM drops back below it, then it repeats, building boost very quickly. On Tephramod V2/V3 the main spark-cut limiter is variable, using the current rev limiter for the active map slot as its basis. In testing, a stock 2.0 with a 5858 built 3–5 psi off the line (depending on ambient temperature) with no additional tuning.
Recommended settings
With the fuel-cut limiter at the default 7599 and the Divider at 1.11, the spark-cut limiter lands just above 7500. On a 5MT the stationary can stay at the default 5500, but you'll need to raise the stationary rev-limiter under-limits. Repeated launches in quick succession will harm your clutches and/or transmission, and sitting on the rev limiter for an extended period causes component fatigue and failure. Off-road / motorsport use only.
Install — read before flashing. An incorrect install can brick your ECU. You MUST enable the
Subroutine and the
Call to sub before editing any other values.
Enable the Subroutine with the rev-limit type you run — Tephra V2/3 or Stock — using the [ ] keys, then enable the Call to sub the same way. Test the stationary rev limiter at a low RPM (e.g. 3000) to confirm it works, then set it where you like; if it's above the stock stationary limit you must raise it, as the stock rev-limiter systems are still in place.
The Divider/multiplier behaves oddly below ~1.07 (rounding) — the higher the number, the lower the spark-cut rev limit. Not using the spark-cut limiter? Set it to 0.99. After changing the Divider or stationary limit, the subroutine menu may show no data — that's expected.
